The battle of the multi-colored glitters!

Ok, I admit it. You got me addicted to nail wheels. LOL This is fun, quick and easy! I am really enjoying doing these comparisons for you!

Today I want to show you a comparison of the multi-colored glitters I currently have. I did at one point have Wet N Wild Party of Five Glitters as well, but I sent it to Canada (along with a few extras) for Rebecca to make more Rebecca Likes Cupcakes.

L-R: Sephora by OPI Spark-tacular Top Coat, Ulta Pinata Yada Yada, Milani Gems

L-R: Sephora by OPI Spark-tacular Top Coat 1 coat then 2, Ulta Pinata Yada Yada 1 coat then 2, Milani Gems 1 coat then 2

ONE coat **Sephora by OPI Spark-tacular Top Coat** TWO coats

ONE coat **Ulta Pinata Yada Yada** TWO coats

ONE coat **Milani Gems** TWO coats

Sephora by OPI Spark-tacular Top Coat (two on left), Ulta Pinata Yada Yada (two on right)

Ulta Pinata Yada Yada (two on left), Milani Gems (two on right)

FINAL VERDICT:
These 3 are NOT dupes! While Ulta PYY and Milani Gems are very close, they still are not identical. Sephora Spark-tacular is completely different. It has three different sized glitters while PYY and Gems only have two. Gems seems to cover better and have a thicker clear coat, while PYY seems runny IMO. It is hard to make out ALL of the colors in these glitters, but I see more blue/green/cool colors in Gems and more red/pink/warm colors in PYY.

Which is my favorite? Sephora Spark-tacular of course! ;-)

Milani Gold Glitz!

I have some serious bling on my nails today, and its all thanks to Milani. Gold Glitz is one of the polishes they sent me to review. It is part of their One Coat Glitter Collection. I must say, it lives up to its name! I only needed one coat for full coverage. It applied easily and dried quickly! I added a coat of Gelous on top of Gold Glitz and then Seche Vite. Gelous helps smooth out the roughness and adds to the shine. I recommend using it on top of any glitter nail polish.

Check out these photos! I promise you this polish is much more sparkly in person.
Remember, you can click the photos to see more detail.

Can you believe that this is only ONE coat?!

Glitter layering!

A special thank you to Rebecca at Rebecca Likes Nails for the idea! I saw her post on it and I just had to try it myself. She calls it "Glitter Sandwich", so cute! Rebecca has a great blog! If you're not already a follower, go check her out!

For mine, I decided to use Essie Lilacism and Absolutely Shore. They are both creamy pastels, and relatively sheer. I started out with one coat of Milani Gems. Then I thinly layered 1 coat of Lilacism and Absolutely Shore. Then another coat of Gems, followed up with one more coat of Lilacism and Absolutely Shore. I topped it off with Essie To Dry For.

What do you think? Have you tried this yet? How were your results?

Milani Fresh Teal

Milani was kind enough to send me some polishes to review. Today I want to show you one of the Milani Neons that I received called Fresh Teal. The first thing that I noticed about this polish was that the bottle was different than the usual Milani bottles! The Milani Neons are in a colored bottle, instead of glass where you can see the color inside. I was hoping that the color and look of the bottle would be the same on the nail, and it was! I absolutely LOVE this color and the finish. It is very shiny on its own without topcoat! The color is opaque, 1-2 coats is all you need, I applied two coats here. This polish dried quickly and went on very smoothly.

Unfortunately, the true color of this polish was hard to capture on camera. Most of the photos show my skin tone as yellow, and the polish as more of a turquoise color. The actual color is more green than blue, more like the color of the bottle here. In person, they are very similar (the bottle color and the polish color), perhaps one slight shade different. Fresh Teal is gorgeous, I am very happy with it.

CLOSE UP!

Here is a cell phone pic for comparison of skin tone with the different cameras...
